Machine de Cirque moved into Limoilou's Saint-Charles church in 2020 to consolidate its activities and welcome other artists, founding a dynamic multidisciplinary artistic creation center.
To enable the realization of this major project, a lease agreement, including an option to purchase the building, has been signed with La Fabrique de la paroisse de Saint-François-de-Laval. Machine de Cirque is also working with the Fabrique to restore and rehabilitate the church. It is working to optimize the use of the premises while respecting its great heritage value, and to guarantee access to the community.
The revitalization of Saint-Charles church, an emblematic site in the Limoilou district of Quebec City, and its transformation into a cultural, artistic and heritage crossroads revolve around three main lines of action.
